Asphalt—brand identity for a pop up omakase style restaurant concept centered around German Expressionism. The restaurant’s identity features a chameleon in reference to its expressionist roots.
Colors usually signify different emotions and moods. To highlight this emotional aspect, the chameleon was chosen due to its reputation of changing colors depending on its mood which is symbolic of expressionists state of mind while making their art. Textures and assets were made using common foods in omakase like octopus and different types of fish.
